Doornbos switches to Team Japan
Robert Doornbos will switch to the championship-leading Team Japan car in time for this weekend's Superleague Formula round at Zolder. The 29-year-old Dutchman raced the sister Team Netherlands car at the Assen season-opener, but the Atech Reid squad, which runs both outfits in the series, has elected to put him in the Japan car previously raced by Britain's Duncan Tappy. "We had some problems at Assen with a coming together, which meant that unfortunately the car had too much damage to finish the race and we were unable to start in race two," he said.
