For one worker at an auto repair shop, however, that wasn't the case. He got to experience a new low recently, which involved a routine task, an awkward moment and giggling coworkers.

eBay Find of the Day: Caresto T6 Roadster, 2004 Hot Rod of the Year [w/video]

We have something of a hard time applying the term "hot rod" to the Caresto T6 R. The unusual Volvo-based retro one-off has simply transcended the art. Whereas most builders start with chassis manufactured by one of the illustrious Big Three, the T6 R is a clean-sheet design with a mid-engine turbocharged I6 swiped from the XC90 that puts power to the rear wheels via a five-speed Geartronic transmission. With a handcrafted aluminum body and a removable polycarbonate roof, the machine is better executed than most auto show concepts. We aren't alone in that assessment, either. Conceived by Leif Tufvesson, a former Volvo and Koeniggsegg development man, Hot Rod Magazine famously called this Caresto one of the "most spectacularly-crafted hot rods to ever grace the pages of this or any other magazine."
Big praise.
Now the Caresto T6 R is up for sale via the miracle of eBay Motors. The Swedish machine has racked up bids of over $23,000 as of the time of writing with just over three days left on the clock, though the reserve has yet to be met (and is probably far higher). If you're skittish about purchasing a vehicle based in Sweden, the seller assures would-be buyers that he'll be happy to help arrange shipping. Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali said his squad was mainly hampered by its pre-existing tyre temperature issues in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix. Red Bull's Mark Webber hit the front as the Formula 1 field managed a few minutes of dry running in the second free practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. Only the two Mercedes had been able to squeeze in flying laps on slicks in first practice before the rain arrived, and the track was damp again when the afternoon session got underway. Video: How far would you drive for your favorite pizza?
In southeast Michigan, there is a restaurant called Cloverleaf Pizza. Growing up, I'd ride my bike with a friend to the 'Leaf and split an eight-slice cheese and pepperoni pizza. In fact, I liked the pizza so much that I eventually got a job there as a bus boy - in part because employees got 50 percent off their dinner order. But as much as I love Cloverleaf, the 25 mile trek from my current residence limits me to about three trips a year.
Charles Schuler is apparently a much bigger fan of his favorite pizza, as Good Morning America reports that the Mississippi resident drove 1,400 miles in his Ford Escape to Town Spa Pizza in Stoughton, Massachusetts so he can eat his favorite pie. More precisely, Schuler picked up 150 pies for the not-so-low price of $1,200.
The trick to getting all those pizzas to arrive in Mississippi without being a soggy mess is to vacuum seal them after they are partially cooked. And Schuler didn't have to make any stops for food on the way home either, since he also brought a few fully cooked pies to munch on while on the road. Hit the jump to watch a report from GMA.

Report: Birdman can't pay for his new $8 million Maybach Exelero

What kind of person would order an $8 million Maybach? The same sort who'd take another Maybach and hack it up with a saw and blowtorch. That's right, a hip-hop mega star.
Long before Jay-Z and Kanye West shot the music video for "Otis", Bryan "Birdman" Williams had placed his order for his very own Maybach Exelero. The price tag: a whopping $8 million. Pocket change for a guy worth over $100 million with a Veyron and a Landaulet in the garage. But now he seems to be running into some trouble.
Apparently, Birdman still owes money on his other seven-figure rides, and has yet to fork over the eight mil to the Exelero's current owner Arnaud Massartic. Until he does, it remains the European entrepreneur's property, though Birdman very well might find a way to work it into his next video just the same.
